Fostering, volunteering, donating, shopping our wish list: there are lots of ways to help a dog on its way home.
Foster a dog
Most of our dogs live in foster homes, not kennels. Fosters give a dog a place to recover and get used to family life, which makes them much easier to place in a forever home.
Do you have room in your home? Fill out the application and we’ll be in touch.
All fosters must agree to a background check, or provide a current PA State Criminal Record Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance.
Volunteer
Right now we’re only taking volunteer applications for transport, events, dog walking, and odds and ends (cleaning and organizing).

Donate
As a 501(c)(3), we rely on our supporters. From medical care to food to toys, every dollar makes a difference for one of our dogs.
You can direct your gift by adding a note in PayPal:
- Hope for Healing for medical care (about the fund)
- Training to send a dog to school
- Wish list for supplies
- In memory of or in honor of and your pet’s name, for the memorial wall below
Wish list
Our dogs always need tough chews. Buying through Ruff Enough supports the rescue, or you can donate with the note “wish list” and we’ll buy what’s needed most.
Events and fundraisers
We hold adoption events and fundraisers through the year, like Bark at the Park, with adoptable dogs, food trucks and vendors. New events are posted on our Facebook page first.

Memorial wall
Honor a pet you’ve loved and lost. Make a donation with the note “in memory of” (or “in honor of”) and your pet’s name, and we’ll add them here. Your gift helps another dog in need.
