The adoption process
Our application helps us get to know your family, your lifestyle and the pets you already have, so we can place each dog where they’ll do best. The dog you have in mind may not be the right fit for your home, and we’ll tell you honestly if so.
Apply
Fill out every question. If something doesn’t apply, write N/A. Incomplete applications can’t be considered, and applying doesn’t guarantee a match with a specific dog.
Reference check
We contact your veterinarian to confirm the pets in your home are up to date on shots and exams.
Meet and greet
We match you with a dog that fits your lifestyle and arrange a meet. Everyone in your household, including your dogs, needs to be there.
Home visit
The last step. We schedule a visit to your home before the adoption is final.

Send a dog to school
Some dogs arrive with habits that make a new home harder. We work with local trainers on obedience and behavior so they can settle in and stay there.
